Devrani Moonsamy

Devrani is an audit and finance professional with almost 20 years’ experience in the industry. Her experience ranges across government and public services. She completed her articles at AGSA, performing external audit of Government departments and Public entities. After 2 years post-articles, she moved into financial and supply chain management in the public sector with the ambition of cleaning up systems and processes and illuminating irregular expenditure. Devrani is driven towards achieving clean audit opinions and zero irregular expenditure as she believes that this build public confidence and has achieved this at the 4 public entities she has been employed at thus far in her career. Her roles were Head of Finance/CFO at Boxing South Africa, Competition Commission, Competition Tribunal and currently employed at the Ombud Council, which is a new listed public entity.

She is also a member of CFO South Africa. CFO South Africa brings finance executives together, boosting their knowledge, networks and careers through down-to-earth engagement, world-class events and engaging original content. Through this platform she aims to positively influence fellow professionals by sharing finance and supply chain industry knowledge and experiences, and contribute to improving the finance industry in South Africa.

One of her other key interests is women empowerment and she is honoured to be part of the Executive Committee of the prestigious International Women's Forum South Africa(IWFSA) IFWLP Alumni network which is a community of accomplished, empowered women leaders who contribute to initiatives empowering the next generation of women in SA.
